Pool Installation

We have been installing Above Ground pools since 1976. We tailor each individual pool installation to your yard. So that you get most longevity out of your pool!

BUYING INFORMATION

So you're considering buying an Above ground pool or a semi-inground, there are a few important things you should do first to ensure that you're making an informed decision and you know you can install the pool! Here are some items you should consider:

  • Please check local regulations: Make sure to check with your local municipality and homeowner's association to determine any zoning, permitting, distance from lot lines, wells, septic tanks, easements, or other regulations that may apply to pool installation. This can help you avoid any costly fines or legal issues down the road and will help you determine what size pool will fit in your yard. Make sure to document your process that way if any issues come up you have all info signed by your local municipality.

  • Assess your yard:  Make sure your yard is suitable for a pool. If you are unsure please reach out to us! Consider factors such as available space, accessibility, soil conditions, and any potential hazards such as underground utilities, tree roots, sprinklers, downspouts, and sump pumps. In the state of Wisconsin Above ground pools need to be 5ft away from any underground electrical lines private or public. As for overhead powerlines Above ground pools need to be  22 1/2ft away from the water level. These are the state minimums, your local municipality may require more distance.

  • Once you determine that a pool will work in your yard. It's time to determine your budget: Pools can be expensive once you start adding heaters, hard piping, automation, lights, and decks, so it's important to determine how much you can afford to spend before you start looking. Consider the cost of installation of the pool, the electrical cost, and the HVAC cost. if you plan on doing a heater. Trenching is needed for both electric and gas at the time of installation. We do offer trenching. Remember not everything has to be installed right away. We have many customers that add heaters and other accessories years after the pool is installed. We work with a lot of stores in the area so please reach out to us and tell us what your plans are and goals with your backyard and we will be more than happy to recommend the best pool combo to fit your needs!

  • Consider ongoing maintenance: Pools require regular maintenance and upkeep, so make sure you're prepared to invest the time and resources necessary to keep your pool clean, safe, and functional. We recommend getting an electric vacuum. They are like a Roomba for your pool they are efficient and low maintenance. Simply clean it once a day and it cleans your pool for you, all you have to do is hit the on button. Second, we recommend getting a Frogger chlorinator or a Nature2 system to slowly allow chorine into your pool it allows for a constant release of chorine and you only have to check it every few days, instead of every day. Cutting down your daily maintenance schedule.

By taking these steps before buying a pool, you can ensure that you make an informed decision that meets your needs and provides you with years of enjoyment for yourself and your family! If you have any questions please reach out to us!

INSTALLATION

 What's included?

  • Site preparation: This involves leveling the ground where the pool will be installed and making sure it's free from any debris that could damage the pool. And leveled with the yard correctly so that proper drainage is still available for the pool so damage doesn't occur to it. We recommend the addition of a Gorilla pad with every new pool installation. For yards over 1ft out of level please reach out to us directly.

  • Pool assembly:  We assemble the pool components according to the manufacturer's instructions,         We rake the mason sand base of the pool, wet it down gas compact it, and finish it off with hand-trowelling it for a smooth hard finish for your liner to rest on. Which gives you a hard service for swimming and easier cleaning.

  • Installation of pool equipment: We make an equipment pad and then connect and install the supplied pool equipment, such as the skimmer & return, and then the pump & filter with most pools coming standard with a chlorinator. We do offer the Installation of Heaters, Hard PVC plumbing, Remote pumps & filter installs at an additional cost.

  • Filling the pool: Once we arrive on the morning of your installation we set up large water tanks that we fill with your garden hoses by the time we have the pool up. We then pump that water into your pool setting the liner, it is only enough water to set the liner and connect the pool equipment. On average it takes 24 to 36 hours to fill your pool depending on your water pressure. If you are on a well or are getting a 27ft or larger pool water may need to be hauled in. Please contact us if you and we help you test and come up with the answers if you need water hauled in.

  • Excess dirt: We include hauling away the extra dirt from the pool excavation up to 2 miles from the installation site at no added cost. All we ask is for the homeowner to find and secure a site before installation. If the site is farther than 2 miles or you can not find a site additional charges will be incurred.
